033 A well known Hill name to a bare hill on the Farm of Woodrae the property of the Earl of Minto. A Stone Coffin as stated by Mr Henderson of Woodrae was got on this hill by him, Several bones - human bones were also found on Grief Hill. The Name of the Hill is from the remains found on it generally supposed to be a corruption of Grave Hill. It is always called Grief Hill.
