A parish in the north of Fifeshire. It is not altogether contiguous; but the larger portion is bounded on the north by part of Newburgh and the Frith of Tay, on the east by Flisk, Dunbog and Monimail, on the south by Collessie, and on the the west by the parishes of Collessie, part of Newburgh, Auchtermuchty and Abernethy. The superficial area is about 7624 acres. of which about 6000 acres are under cultivation, and about 300 under plantations. This parish is in the Presbytery of Cupar and synod of Fife, Patron the Earl of Mansfield. There are two detached portions of this parish, one is in the west side of Newburgh, the other part is at the south side of Flisk. There are no other detached portions connected with this parish except the forementioned.
