A ruin immediately adjoining the present house of Pitcullo. It [had] been formerly the Mansion house but is now rapidly going to decay It is the property of John Pitcairn Esqr. There is a tradition in the locality that in 1540 this was occupied by Cardinal Beaton as a shooting lodge.
