Dunmore was the name given to Norman's Law before the invasion of the Danes, and this house got its name from the hill. Denmuir is a corruption of Dunmore or "Big Hill" and is not locally understood; altho' it is used on all the property documents. James Todd, the tenant, is a very intelligent man, he uses Dunmore, which is understood locally.
