[Royal Navy] Scotscraig: Mr. Robert Seath, Factor, Scotscraig: Map of Scotland: Fullertons Gazetteer: [Remarks] North side of the Firth of Tay, in the County of Forfar. A large point of land at the mouth of Tay, and situated on the North side of the Tay. There are two Lighthouses on it for the purposes of guiding mariners up and down the river. (these lighthouses do not appear on plan)

Dougall R.N., Scotscraig: Mr. Robert Seath, Factor, Scotscraig: [remarks] North side of the Firth of Tay in the County of Forfar. A large sand bank between high and low water extending from Lady Bank to Buddon Ness and visible at low water.
