017 South east of the house of Kirkforthar are the remains of this Chapel, consisting of four walls, 6 feet high, and 2 1/2 feet thick. It was suppressed before the Reformation; it now serves as the burying place of the Lindsays of Kirkforthar the grave yard surrounding it serving for the tenants on the estate. The Chapel and yard are the property of G.J. Lindsay Esqr.

Chapel situation -- About 1 5/8 Miles S.E. [Southeast] of the Village of Fruchie.
At Brandon there is also the ruin of an ancient tower and at Kirkforthar the remains of a Chapel which once existed but was suppressed previous to the reformation. Leighton's Hist. [History] of Fife Vol. [Volume] III page 184.
