The Post Office is in one of the apartments of the Postmaster's house. There is one delivery daily, and letters are sent to Auchtermuchty once daily, this being a sub-office. The postmaster is E. C. Stewart, teacher of Dunshalt School.

This school was not only established but is supported entirely by O. T. Bruce Esq. Falkland House. It is designed for the benefit of the Children of the village. The number attending it averages 100, besides the fees the teacher has a fixed salary of £8.8/- and a free house. The present teacher E. C. Stewart.
