The houses are chiefly occupied by [Damask] Weavers (hand loom). The name [Baldridgeburn], formerly, was applied to a [district] but as there is now a Street, the [authorities] recommend that the name should [appear] as Baldridgeburn Street, to [distinguish] the place from a stream [called] Baldridge Burn. |
