014 A Cultivated inclosed field on the estate of Fountainhall and about ¼ of a Mile N.W. [North West] of Templehall. When draining the land some four years ago the Workmen met with parts of Strong Stone Walls, which were Supposed to be the foundation of Some extensive edifice they also found some Stone Vases of rude Workmanship, all about 2½ feet under the Surface.
Site of GRAVE YARD [West Peaston] Site of Grave Yard (Ancient) Mr. Henderson - Foreman Templehall, James Young - Labourer House of Muir. 014 In a plantation Situated between West Peaston and Templehall is an Ancient burying place now planted with full grown trees. There is not a vestige of any thing now remaining to mark the exact boundary of the burying place. There are but few persons in the neighbourhood who know any thing about this place.
