010 [Situation] About 30 chains E. N. E [East North East] from Linplum and about 30 chains nearly North from Bara -
Nothing Remains of this Church but a portion of the South wall which is about 3 feet elevated above the general Surface of the ground - and is covered with grass - The Grave Yard surrounded it and is still in existence but disused for a number of Years. This was the Parish Church of Bara until about 1720 when it (Bara) was united with Garvald - and the united parishes are called ever Since "Garvald & Bara" I could not ascertain from the parish minister Mr Crosby of the "Manse" Garvald nor any other I enquired of the dedicatory name of this Church -
