015 A large encampment of an irregular form a short distance South of the Black Castle And also situated on the farm of Newlands it is also Surrounded by a deep ditch and has one entrance on its West side. this and the Green Castle are called Tumuli by some Statistical information but their construction and appearance decidedly denote them to be encampments. They are called Roman Camps by the inhabitants
