020 | The ruins of an ancient baronial residence, Situated on the farm of Priestlaw. the arched roof of the ground flast is still standing and is of plain mason work. This building was long occupied as a farm house previous to about 1770. Since that time it has not been occupied. There is still some remains of offices &c but which are nearly all removed for building. A chapel stood near this house the site of which cannot now be pointed out. A short distance west from this ruin is a shepherds dwelling house and small garden. The spelling Paunchshiell is not now used. |
