A rough uncut Standing Stone on the farm of Stonypath it is of a conical shape and stands two feet high. Stone erected to marK the meeting spot where a Millar used to meet his distant Customers with bags of ground meal and flour, and receive any that was brought to him to be ground the difficult or bother of Settling the various prices to be paid to him gave rise to the name Bother Stone. There is no local Knowledge of when these transactions were in practice or how long they continued but by then the spot became famous. And the Stone is well known by the given name.
