009 010 A broad gleann with flat land at the bottom extending from the end of "Glen Mallan" on the South to Glen Douglas on the North, a distance of 1¾ miles. The name is descriptive of its position. A name, supposed to be very much corrupted, applied to a stream rising at the highest point of "Gleann na Caorrain" and forming the boundary between the parishes of Luss and Row, falls into a large stream, at the junction of "Gleann na Caorruinn with "Gleann Culanach" and "Glen Mallan".
