056 | [Situation] At Sn. [Southern] extremity of this Parish. A large tract of Lochar Moss extending through this Plan. Sir Alexander Grierson Bart. [Baronet] is the present Proprietor The term flow as applied to different divisions of Lochar Moss is well Known and often repeated - It embraces the whole of the Southern extremity of the Parish, exclusive of Strips & Patches of Meadow & Reclaimed Moss which encompasses it on the East and West &c. "Flow" is the term applied to that part of the moss form which no peat has been cut but more particularly to the surface peat, which is inferior to that lower down. |
