A considerable eminence rising almost perpendicularly - bears on its summit the vestiges of a camp or fort. Fullarton in his "Imperial Gazetteer" incorrectly terms this Carthur Hill. About four chains south west from the top of the hill, there is a well, with a copious flow of water - which has evidently been bored in the past by artificial means.
