The graveyard of the ancient Parish of Luce Situated near the present Manse of Hoddam. The Church of Luce is said to have stood at or near the Graveyard, the exact spot is not well Known. The Hamlet of Luce is entirely demolished Save one old ruin. The situation was, close to the R. [River] Annan and at the top of a steep banK which slopes down in to Luce Pool.
Site of LUCE CHURCH [See Page] 3 057 That a Church Stood at or near the Graveyard is authenticated by every intelligent persons in the district but this Site cannot be pointed out.
