A ridge of hill feature the Summit of a high mountain forming a conspicuous object of interest And curiosity to the Naturalist.
Supposed to reach about 1400 feet above Sea level and probably the greatest elevation in Glencairn.
The Name may signify the hill of the Stirks, compd. [compounded] of Knock and Gaugh - a young ox.
