A small Village consisting of 14 houses, one storey high, slated & generally in good repair, having gardens attached, the first house was built in 1807 and the village has, gradually increased since that period. The population amounts to 112. (25 families) & the principal trade is Weaving, the inhabitants being supplied with work. by Glasgow Manufacturers. property of Mrs Blacklock Annan.
Creca applies to this village and also a farm house a little to the south of the village, the farm house is one storey high with suitable offices and thrashing machine attached all in good repair, it has also a garden and a small arable farm attached occupied by William Stele.
