is bold and precipitous; on the north it is more level, though in different places the rocKs are of considerable altitude. The principal headlands are Grey Head, SKirsa Head, St. John's, and Duncansbay Head. the last is the Berutium of Ptolemy, from which the coast line runs due south and due west. The principal bays are FreswicK Bay on the east coast, and Gills Bay on the north.
