015.13 ; 015.14 A considerable Stream formed by the united Streams of Wedderlie, Burn, and Edgar Burn. and flowing in a South easterly direction, Separating Westruther from Greenlaw Parish - during its course through the Parish, it receives numerous tributaries increasing its volume of water considerably; it joins the Whiteadder Water at the Village of Allanton in the Parish of Edrom. It is famed for eels, and excellent trout, but Salmon is scarcely ever seen in it.
