Mr. James Grant Polwarth		 016.14 A small thatched farmhouse in middling repair with outhouses and Thrashing mill attached, situated in the N.E. [North East] part of the parish,. Tradition says, that this place has its name from Robert Bruce, having mounted his horse there during a battle fought in the neighbourhood. It is the property of Sir Hugh Campbell, Bart. [Baronet] Marchmont House.
