After leaving the main body of the parish of Lauder it pursues a Course of 6 Miles almost uniformly due South to the Tweed, 2 Miles below Melrose. For 1½ miles it divides Legerwood in Berwickshire from Melrose in Roxburghshire, for 1½ miles it partly divides Legerwood & Earlston from Lauder. Detached & thence to the Tweed, it divides Earlston from Melrose. |
