021.11 A very bold eminence can be seen from the German Ocean and Moray Firth, and in many places at the distance of thirty miles, its summit or top appearing almost like a riding saddle from the east & west. It is situated in the lands of the Duke of Richmond, the Earl of Fifes Trustees, Cobairdy and Bognie Brae, it is traditionaly recorded that four proprietors met on the top and dined of one table each sitting in his own property hence the origin of the name.
