015.03 A plain Square edifice, Situated on a Small eminence near the South and of this parish; reerected in 1805. And Containing about 450 Sittings - which Are all free. The Amount of Stipend is £160. And a glebe of 8 Acres - It is traditionally Said that the present Church Stands on the Site of An Ancient Chapel which was dedicated to St Mary. A holy well contiguous to the church was also dedicated to Saint Mary - And is Still well Known in the parish by this Name.
