025.09 | A large edifice capable of accommodating 1500 sitters and is part of an ancient Cathedral. It was the seat of a diocese until it was translated to Old Aberdeen. It is said that Malcolm II added three lengths of his spear to it in consideration of having been victorious at the battle of Mortlach. It is also recorded that three of the Danes sculls were built into the north wall of the church, they are not visible now.This is the only remaining part of the old Cathedral and is surrounded by the parish Grave Yard.
