029.04 A large collection of tumuli on the summit & slope of Tomnaglein evidently the graves of persons who have fallen in some conflict. No information can be obtained as to whether a battle has been fought in this vicinity. On the Elgin side of the Spey there are also large collections of these tumuli.
These objects are composed both of stones and earth, and from the circumstance of a Stone coffin containing an urn and Human remains having been found in one of them, ] 88they may be considered of very ancient construction. Vide P. 66 [Continued on P. [Page] 66]
