Since that period it has undergone a great many repairs - principally in 1823 at which time it was nearly wholly rebuilt. So that scarcely a vestige of the old building now remains. "The parish place of burial, graced by the ancient church of St Quivox.
** an ancient inscription may be traced on a square tablet indented in the
wall of the church; from the date it would appear to have been executed in

"The parish Church was built before the Reformation, but was repaired
& enlarged about twelve years ago" Statistical Acco't [Account] (1842)

"The name of the parish anciently was Sanchar or Senechar ** Latterly the church
came to be called after its patron Saint - Saint Kevoc supposed to be derived from 'Saint
