027.12 The ruins of a Chapel dedicated to the Virgin Mary (as the name denotes) All that now remains of it, is a Tower which has been ascended by a spiral staircase, but which is now in such a dilapidated condition that it is quite impossible to reach the Summit. No authentic information can be obtained as to the exact date of its erection but it is supposed to have belonged to the middle of the fifteenth century. It stands quite close to the mansion house of the same name & commands a fine view of the Surrounding country.
