North West of the building is a small enclosure with a tomb & Monument on the latter is the following inscription "This flower garden extending to 9 falls having been consecrated by record Act of the Right Rev. [Reverend] Father in God, James Walker D.D. [Doctor of Divinity] Bishop of Glasgow Edinburgh & Fife as dedicated to God for ever as a burial place from 29th. May 1835, And £100 vested in trust for its continual repair." The Stables and Byres attached to Fairfield are one story slated & in good repair, property and residence of W.G. Campbell Esq |
