053 A Small but rapid Stream flowing out of Loch Muick in a westerly direction falling into Loch Doon at the Ford of Moak. Some time ago the Course of Knoxes Burn was artificially turned into Loch Doon in place of going by Cairsphairn its natural Course, previous to this a Small Stream flowed in the Same Channel which the larger occupies now, and was called Moak Burn - the Stream retains the name 'Knoxe's Burn' no further South than its old natural Course and Moak Burn goes no further east that the artificial cut -
