050 A large hill or range of [elevated] ground which rises to the [height] probably of 1000 feet - Steep & in some places precipitous, on [the] North Side, but to the east South & West it falls off with a gentle Slope. It is an independent feature in itself. -
CAMP [Hadyard Hill] Camp 050 At the western extremity of this hill there are the remains of an encampment of an oval form & consists of two breastworks which are [nearly] level with the Surface and do not extend the whole way round but terminate in each Side of the [Steep] Slope on the north Side of the hill - It is supposed that Robert Bruce was encamped here for Some [time ] Property of the Duchesse de Coigney -
