208-4-2 A porter 's Lodge situated on the S E [South East] side of the public road leading from Bridgend to Portaskaig and at a part thereof about 1¾ mile from the former and where a Carriage Drive leading to Islay House branches of it. It is substantially built of dressed, red sandstone, and bears the Armorial bearings of the Campbells of Islay, cut in stone, over the door.
