PARISH OF UDNY Description Continued "from its shape, to have been built about the end of the 13th or beginning of the 14th Century. Its dimensions are length outside 46 feet inside 28 feet breadth outside 35 feet inside 17 feet; height 71 feet." Statistical Account of Aberdeenshire, page 131. The Formartin and Buchan branch of the Great North of Scotland Railway, runs through the eastern portion of the Parish.
