The site of an ancient Castle, or what is supposed to have been one. The original date of which cannot be obtained, it was tolerably Entire till about the middle of the last century, there were then the remains of some towers about the place. No records remain of their origin or purpose. The Town Hall now occupy's its site, but not a vestige remains of the original building.

011 A strong spring Well, situated close to the Gas Works, it is supposed to have been made by one of the Mrs. Hay's of Erroll, during the 15 century, it well known by this name
