019 A large Farm steading with dwelling House, out houses and Garden Attached, in good repiar. The property of the Earl of Fife. There was once an extensive peat Moss on the lands of the Farm and an old mill stood a little to the Westward, hence the name, Millmoss.

The cultivated lands round the Farm were once a large tract of bog, and Marsh, the name which is from the Gaelic and means, "dirty Bog".
