061 A long and very Conspicuous ravine upper end of which is situated abt. [about] 16 chains E.N.E. [East North East] of New Morlich Farm, and in which enters the County Road and also the parish boundary, at Glaschul Wood a distance of about ½ a mile the Den and boundary keeps a little South of the Road for a space of about 1½ Mile where the Den and parish boundary (north of the Glaschul Wood) leads in an Eastward direction for abt. [about] 2 miles where it terminates and discharges its Springs into Milton Dam from which to the Den is a Stream.

Dr. Robb of Towie informed me that the ancient name of the Farm was Butcher's Hill

[South] of the Den of Kildrummy etc. It is said one side of the hill was grassy from which it derived the name. The Summit is abt. [about] 2 chains N.W. [North West] of the centre of Cairn Fichlie and situated abt. [about] ½ a Mile E. [East] of Goreyhill Farm
