069 A narrow glen the channel of which is called the "Water of Carvie" which extends from the foot of the "Slacks of Glencarvie" to the River Don, a distance of about 3 miles, and in the Glen on each side of the Water are a few Farms. The foot of the Glen at the River Don, is about 1½ miles from the Parish Church. The property of Sir Charles Forbes of Castle Newe.
