036 A large flat rock, situated at the end of the house called Bowmanstone, and about a quarter of a mile west from the parish Church. I cant get to hear of any tradition in connexion with this stone.

Near the Church is a large flatheaded rock, called Bowman stone, where Archers
may have met in ruder times to practise with the bow; as at the Bowbutts in other places.
