023 An undulating piece of Commontry on the lands of the town, Consisting of about 15 Acres, bounded on the N.W [North West] by Cairntrodlie and the Manse ground, on the East by the Sea, Keeping the T.P. [Turnpike] Road to Aberdeen for nearly ¼ mile. Upon it the Volunteers hold their drill meetings during the summer evenings, it is generally reorted [resorted] to by the inhabitants for sports etc.
