021 This fine spring well is now covered in, but is to be opened again. it is not known why it is called Annies Well, but is supposed to have been named after some old woman in the district.
Dr. [Doctor] Pratt in his history of Buchan page 374 says, Of course, it is absolutely impossible even to guess who were the worthies to whom these latter (meaning the wells) were dedicated, although they have in all likelihood, been held in high repute in their own day.
