020 A rifle range, with Target, Stop and Markers
Butts, situated in the Den of Culsh. Constructed and used by the 5th Aberdeenshire Rifle Volunteers.
It commands a range of 1000 yards. But there is no object beyond road leading to North Mains of Culsh, to mark the actual distance. In connection with this range there is another at or near Cairnbanno, for the convenience of the members residing in that district. (See Plan 20-11. Traces 1 & 4)

020 In removing two circular mounds, or rims of earth, on the farm of Whitebog occupied by Mr. Watt. several flint arrow heads were found about 14 years ago. Places indicated by crosses on trace. The authority quoted is of opinion that these mounds were remains of habitations, But by whom inhabited cannot say.
