It contains about 10816 Statute Acres and is bounded on the south by the parish of Cluny; on the west, by the parishes of Tough, and Keig; on the north, by the parish of Oyne; and on the north east, and east, by the parishes of Chapel of Garioch, and Kemnay.
The River Don intersects the parish in a south easterly direction, first dividing it from Oyne Parish on the north. The soil is chiefly a light loam, interspersed with fields of a clayey nature. The arable land, lying chiefly on the banks of the Don, is enclosed, well cultivated, and highly embellished with plantations, of which there are upwards of 4.000 acres in the parish. There are no detached portions of this parish nor are there any detached portions of another parish situated within it.
