It is bounded on the north by Tarves and Fyvie, on the East by Tarves, South by Bourtie and on the West by Daviot & Fyvie Parishes. The population in 1861 including the town of Old Meldrum was 2343. Its length from north to South is between five and six miles and from East to west between three and four miles. It is in the presbytery of Garioch and Synod of Aberdeen.
