031 Curiosity having led some gentlemen to see what was beneath this tumulus (date unknown) they discovered a small sepulchral chamber about two feet in length by about nine inches broad, and 9 inches deep, containing unctuous matter. The Cist was lying East and west.

031 While the tenant of Cairncatto farm was reclaiming the ground about here, he discovered, at about 2 feet from the Surface a stone cist containing unctuous matter. The Coffin measured 2 feet in length by about 9 inches in breadth & 9 inches deep, & was lying East and West.
