031 "A large heap of Stones on a hill, and farm of the same name, at the Southern extremity of the parish of Longside. When entire, for it has been sadly demolished of late years, it is said to have had something of the appearance of a lion Couchant, being higher and broader at the east end than at the west, and a good deal resembling in shape, Arthur's Seat near Edinburgh. The Cairn is doubtless on the field of some great battle, and seems to have been chosen with considerable skill". Pratts Buchan.
