The soil in the valleys here are a strong and fertile clay, on the hill sides, a rich and equally fertile loam. The parish is, for the most part, arable and well cultivated; but the hill tops are chiefly covered with heath, and abound with various Kind of game. The parish contains about 12860 Statute Acres There are no Detached portions of this parish, nor are there any detached portions of another parish situated within it. |
