063 A very large stone in the centre of the Kings Moss. Tradition say's there was a battle fought in the hollow just over the Ph [Parish] Boundary of Keig in the Ph [Parish] of Tough and that the King directed the movements of the battle in person, by taking up a position on this stone:- hence the name. I cannot find out what King this was or about what time the battle was fought.

063 A very large stone, or craig, called the Horseman Stane, it is also said that while the battle was being fought, there was a horseman stationed here, to watch the movements of the enemy; hence the name.
