spelling was abolished upwards of
three years ago. The spelling of
Inverurie has become almost
universal, and any attempt to
resuscitate the former inconvenient
spelling by altering your Plans
is very much to be deprecated.
I trust therefore you will be
good enough to give such instructions
in your office or elsewhere as will
effectually prevent any alteration
of the spelling of Inverurie on the
Ordnance Plans.
