091 These consist of a one storey slated house, shed and gasometer. The house is used as a smithy as well as for the manufacture of gass. The gasometer contains when full 3500 cubic feet of gass.

Old Statistical Account
091 All that remains of this castle now are the four sidewalls of its principal tower; some of it is covered with a roof. It is encompassed by a stone wall and sheltered on its north and east sides by a small plantation. It was built by Gordon of Terperay, and fell into the hands of Abergeldie. In 1590 it was burned by the clan Chattan and was repaired again, and in 1706 was tenanted by Lady Euphemia Graham.
